I haven’t heard anything from Sex Cult’s Black Matter in a hot second and saw this escaped tune sitting unopened in the inbox. BLASPHEMY! I’m so happy I wandered upon this email because to be honest, it’s Black Matter’s most sophisticated sound to date. Gone are the spastic synths and in their place are thick drums and percussion and a screaming mainline pulled from the cliff of dance floor cheese by waves of sub-bass. It’s a massively cool tune that takes recognizable elements and twists them into something all Black Matter’s own.
