We can thank Jalapeno Records for this free download of Smoove’s remix of Kraak & Smaak’s “Call Up To Heaven.” It’s a retro stunner I was immediately drawn to. Evoking smoke-ridden clubs with a full figured singer leaning into a vintage microphone, it’s chock full of live instrumentation and percussion. Think notes of Mark Ronson here with a smidge of disco for good measure. I’m officially in love.
