Absolutely killing the sick-trap-remix game once again is Amsterdam producer trio Yellow Claw (just when I had thought I had heard Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” enough times to blow my brains out, along came their and Yung Felix’s spring remix of it, which subsequently did it for me). Labeled as “EMO TRAP”, this out of everywhere remix combines the original with 808 presets programmed in some sort of moomba-tempo hybrid trap/dancehall pattern plus dnb loops as build material, with looping of phrases from the vocals setting off the dancefloor with yet an additional outro twist as this remix spurts along with flammy goodness down to the last hi-hat.
