Greetings and HAPPY SPRING!! What’s good, everyone? Zoë Renee checking in here with a short and sweet posts with some of my favourite tracks as of late. We have n awesome twist to a classic, a groovin’ indie disco jam, and a monster of a heavy hitter (and when I say monster, I mean MONSTER!!)-so let’s get things started, shall we?
The first track I am posting is with apology, it fell in my radar about a week ago and I meant to post it and it totally slipped my mind.Once you hear it you will want to slap me for not blogging it sooner, because it’s amazing-and it’s a very nice twist on a classic. It comes to us courtesy of VASS (DJs Vi & Shaan Saigol) and it is a remix of the epic ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ by The Datkness! This song has a particular warm spot in my heart because it takes me back to my younger days of djing in college and always managing to work this record in my sets. It’s a fun tune, that is always a delight to hear (especially unexpectedly) and now it is club ready! It’s an elecro house banger with enough grind and enough elements of the og to make this one hell of a remix, now download this and TURN IT UP!!
Now while we still have that energy in our system, let’s take the intensity from a 10 to a 15 with this MONSTER of a banger courtesy of Black Matter. This track is aptly named ‘Fury’, and I say aptly because it is a fury of bass-like a lion with a wolf’s head and a tiger’s body with the wings of an eagle, fury! There is only slight subtlety in the beginning of the track to prepare you, but as soon as it begins-it literally screams into hard hitting drums, grinding synths, and teeth shattering bass! This track is not for the weak of heart, nor for the timid dancefloor, this track is designed to make you sweat and remove several articles of respective clothing
Done sweating yet? Need to chill out but still be able to shake your rears? Well I have just the track for you. Le Youth has added the magic touch to the incredible track ‘Angeles’ by Goldroom. Giving it the tropical treatment, an ass-kicking beat, and chopped and diced vocals-Le Youth has turned this gem into a killer transitional track. Oh yeah, and there’s a piano, I know! As if the track couldn’t be any more dope, there’s the freakin piano just making this jam so much more decadent! What a perfect way to welcome spring and prepare us for what is going to be one-incredible-summer.
