DJ Broken Record has never been one to abide by the ‘rules’ (whatever those may be) when it comes to his moombahton edits, and here he shows off his exciting creative impulses once again with this 108-85-108 bpm (for those of you wondering) transition edit of The Partysquad’s massive dutch heater “Go Down Low”. Instead of merely just slowing down the tempo of the tune to hit the initial lower bpm, he has instead screwed the whole track down, pitch and all, making the female vocals sound trippy and sluggish, a nice touch that helps the track’s vibe and nicely compliments the additional cumbia shakers etc, making this an interesting and refreshing change from moombah edits that keep most of the original intact by merely slowing down the original track and filling in/editing the track to add latin flavor as needed.
